The minute I saw it, I knew I needed to have this amazing workout tank-top! The message was simple, but to me, powerful. It was the perfect saying to inspire me to seek Holiness in the areas that I least suspected.  “Move On.” These words were not from a modern day feminist, but rather from a heroic Catholic Saint; St. Joan of Arc. This Saint is truly one of our most inspiring ladies ever! She was not only holy but a real warrior and leader.

In life, we can waste a lot of time dwelling on the wrong “stuff” which makes us lose our way. To me, St. Joan is sending a message of clarity and inspiration with two simple words. These words are about finding freedom from the chains that hold me back from being the person God created me to be! Remember in life there will be situations we can’t change, fix or even resolve so instead of focusing your energy on it, allow God to teach us how to “move on, ” and this new change will bring forth healing, peace, and holiness. Thank you St. Joan for reminding me of that! What words inspire you to Move on?

Move on from Useless Chatter-

Move Towards Clarity

“Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.”

(Col 3:2)

Move On From Negative Thoughts-

Move Towards Transformation

“Do not conform yourself to this age but be transformed by the renewal of your mind.”

(Roman 12:2)

Move On From Regret-

Move Towards Repentance

“For Godly Sorrow produces a salutary repentance without regret, but worldly sorrow produces death. (2 Cor. 7:10)

Move On From A Sinful Lifestyle-

Move Towards Holiness

“But, as he who called you is holy, be holy yourself in every aspect of your conduct, for it is written, “Be holy because I (am) holy.” (1 Peter 2:15)

Move On From the Pain We Inflict on Ourselves and Others-

Move Towards Love-

“Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good.”

(Romans 12:9)

Move On From the Voices of the World, Influencing us to be worldly-

Move Towards Holiness

“He has saved us and called us to a holy life—not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time.”

(2 Tim: 9:1)

Move On From the Memories That Haunt Us-

Move Towards- Freedom

“Now the Lord is the Spirit,* and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.” (2 Corinthians 3:17)

Move On From the Culture of Darkness-

Move Towards the Kingdom of God

“And as you go, preach, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand.’ (Matthew 10:7)

Move On From Distrust of God-

Move Towards Trusting God

“He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see and fear the LORD and put their trust in him.” (Ps.40:3)

Move On from Violence-

Move Towards Peace-

Make every effort to live in peace with everyone and to be holy; without holiness, no one will see the Lord. (Heb. 12:14)

The Saints are waiting for us to reach out to them and ask for help to grow in holiness! I hope that you too can “Move On” from the voices that hold us back from being the person we are meant to be.  Remember the Saints are our greatest supporters wanting us to find Freedom in Christ.
